Top 5 movies of 2010 according to me:
1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1
I personally think that the some of the other movies in this list were better than this movie, but I cannot betray Harry Potter, since I am an avid fan of the series, and that is the only reason I put this movie as number 1. The series seem to be getting better as new parts come out. The best part of this movie was to see a different side of Harry, Hermione, and Ron…focused more to their emotional side. The actions scenes blended perfectly with the dramatic moments of the movie. The abrupt ending has made the viewer of this series to become more anxious for the last part, which is due to come out in July of this year, in 3D. The series of Harry Potter is phenomenal, but like all good things it has to end, and the beginning of the end could not have been better than this.
This movie was just AMAZING. No others words to describe it. The movie made the idea of inception so appealing that by the end the viewer wished that this was possible in real life. This movie got even better because of Leonardo DeCaprio, he was perfect for the leading role of this movie. Inception had the ability to keep its audience mesmerized and captivated by the genius hidden behind it. This was a very strong movie which was unmatched to anything that has been released in the past couple of years.
3. Shutter Island
This was another exceptional movie delivered by Leonardo DiCaprio this year. This movie had the power to keep its viewer glued to their seat, in anticipation to know what comes next. In order to understand this movie completely, one might want to watch it the second time. This is one movie, where the viewer gets to witness the climax of this movie by just one dialogue:
“Is it better to live as a monster or die a good man?”
One is most likely to enjoy this roller-coaster ride of one of the most captivating, and well-crafted psychological thriller.
4. Social Network
When I saw the trailer of this movie, I thought, ok…this will be a documentary type movie on how Mark Zuckerberg founded the company Facebook. But when I watched this movie, I was surprised, because this was actually one of the best movies I had watched. The story did revolve around how the company came to be, but it had all these other aspects, such as, friendship, betrayal, loyalty and ambition. And the way it was directed was also very different and refreshing from other movies. The cast also did an exceptional job at acting in this movie. The story is not only about Facebook, but it is actually based on its tag line:
“You don’t get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies”
5. Easy A
I put this movie in this list, because I thought there should be one chick-flick in the list too, and this chick-flick was one of the best I have seen after Mean Girls. With its funny and witty dialogues, and seeing the goofy and cute Emma Stone on the screen, there is no chance that you will get bored while watching this movie. It is a fun and relaxing movie to watch, which holds your interest till the last scene with well thought-out and creative plot twists.
I hope you guys enjoyed reading this! 🙂
